UOI collaboration
Mixed Medium Design
To demonstrate how Knowledgeable the year 4 students were on different forms of collage, we collected a variety of art mediums including oil pastels, paint, markers, pencils and crayons. Using these art tools they created a patterned collage showing the students’ understanding of colour and value. The art work was then completed by displaying an image of an influential person in society. Black and white photographs were used to contrast the coloured background.

Word Collage
For this art project, the year 4 students looked at links between Art and their UOI. Students discussed words that describe people who impact, inspire and influence our lives. After making the connection that the IB Attitudes are all words of great value, students started the process of creating their own words collage. As a group we cut out and collected all the letters of the alphabet. Once we had enough the students shared the letters so that each could make a collage of one of the attitudes repeating it over and over across the page. Student had to use knowledge of space in order to arrange the letters effectively on the page.
