Term 1 Year 7
For this project students have learned about contour and modified contour lines and demonstrated their understanding and ability through the bicycle drawing. Students drew a contour of the bicycle from a photograph then traced the contouring edges with permanent marker. Students have shown their knowledge of value through lightening colours by mixing different quantities of white paint and filling in different sections of the background in a variety of colours and tones.

Creating value by mixing white with the primary and secondary colours.
Year 7 revised colour through learning about line and value.
Each student had to measure a square 10cm x 10cm. Following this, students had to create a design to fill their square incorporating the element of line. Once the design was finished each student was allocated one of the 6 primary and secondary colours (primary- red, blue, yellow; secondary- violet, green, orange). Students had to select a variety of pencils in their given colour to demonstrate their knowledge of the element of value.
